Bag Collection for Local Foster Care Kids
Golden Key Realty works with Northridge Church in the collection of overnight bags for local foster care children. We collect and distribute them to foster care agencies in the area as well as the Department of Human Services offices in Wayne, Oakland, Livingston and Washtenaw counties.
The 4 different bags are listed below.
Big Red Bag (ages 2-17): This is a 30” duffel bag is given to children who have just been placed into foster care. Often, when children are pulled from their homes they come with only the clothes they are wearing. To find out which items are needed to fill this bag, click here.
Infant Diaper Bag (ages 0-24 months): This diaper bag is also for children pulled from their homes. When foster families get these babies they often come with no clothing. This overnight bag allows for an outfit and the necessities a child of that age needs. To find out which items are needed to fill this bag, click here.
