Popular holiday makers market moves from Northville to Livonia

Shoppers looking for unique Christmas gifts need not look further than the newest holiday event in Livonia. The popular Tinsel and Treasures Holiday Market is setting up shop at the Embassy Suites on Victor Parkway in Livonia Dec. 9-11. The weekend makers market is normally held in Northville, but is relocating to Livonia for its 43rd year.

“We were doing handmade well before its recent renaissance and are thrilled to see droves of people finding joy in not only supporting a small business’s dreams but also giving heartfelt handmade gifts,” event runner Stephanie Jones said.Tinsel and Treasures Handmade Holiday Market is moving to Livonia for its 43rd year.

The $4 admission fee is good for the whole weekend. Friday and Saturday will also feature opportunities for patrons to enjoy an adult beverage while they shop.

The show has a host of vendors signed up already. Items for sale will include art, food, clothing, jewelry, home décor and more. Tinsel and Treasures also notes Embassy Suites is just 10 minutes from downtown Northville, where people can find more small businesses.”

Instead of seeing multiple booths selling the same types of items, we have the privilege of offering over seventy five unique booths selling items, unlike their neighbor,” Jones said. “The spirit and camaraderie amongst guests, shoppers, and artists are infectious. It has to be experienced to be understood.”

The show will be open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Kids aged 12 and under will receive free admission. People can also check out Birmingham’s Winter Market, Farmington’s Holly Days, Northville’s Holiday Greens Market and Plymouth’s Mistletoe Market this season
